410 stainless steel, after quenching and tempering, offers high strength, good toughness, excellent corrosion resistance, and favorable machinability. It is mainly used for components that require relatively high toughness, a certain degree of corrosion resistance, and the ability to withstand impact loads, such as cutting tools, blades, fasteners, hydraulic press valves, and equipment for resisting sulfur corrosion in thermal cracking applications. It can also be used for equipment and components exposed to mild corrosive media at room temperature.
